Lucia Vincent (she/her)
After a term serving as a Member of the Employment Relations Authority in Ōtautahi / Christchurch, Lucia is delighted to be back practicing in Ōtepoti / Dunedin, closer to home with her personal and professional family.
Lucia has worked with a wide range of people and organisations to resolve employment issues pragmatically.
She has represented clients in the Employment Relations Authority, Employment Court and mediation.
Businesses and professional bodies have sought Lucia out for upskilling their members in all areas of employment law, both in house and at conferences and seminars.
You can instruct Lucia (AWI-CH) to conduct independent investigations into workplace complaints. Leverage her experience as a decision maker in the Authority to help solve sensitive and complex claims that require a diplomatic approach.
Lucia is well versed in developing robust employment agreements and policy to avoid problems, and resolving restructuring and personal grievances efficiently when issues arise.
Lucia adds to her specialist skill set, her many hats in other leadership roles. Prior to returning to practice, she served as a Member of the Authority, sat on the National Employment Law Committee of the NZLS, and led the employment law team at a local law firm as a Litigation Partner. She has previously convened the Employment Law Committee for the Otago Branch of the NZLS, and sat on the Audit and Risk Committee as a Trustee of charitable trust THETA.
Outside of work, Lucia loves spending time with her husband and their two beautiful children and busy Fox Terrier. Lucia has also represented New Zealand in Triathlon in four successive world championships, most recently podiuming with a silver medal in her age group for Long Distance Triathlon in Pontevedra, Spain.
